TEACHER MELISSA FERNANDEZ-ABAYA
Teacher Melissa graduated from De La Salle University in 1995 with
a degree in AB Psychology. She earned several units in Early Childhood
Education at Boston College, Massachusetts and acquired her Master's
degree in Basic Education Teaching at the Ateneo. Previous to setting up
CHILD Preschool, Quezon City in 1999 and TLAP in Alabang, Melissa taught
in a private preschool and had a tutorial center, which she developed and ran
with Teacher Tetet Dy. Up until SY 2007-2008, she was TLAP’s School
Administrator. She is now a silent partner and is residing in California, USA
with her husband and two sons.
TEACHER ROSANNE ARANETA
She took up AB Communication Arts from the Ateneo de Manila
University (Batch 1994) then took her postgraduate studies in Family
Life & Child Development at the University of the Philippines. Rosanne
started teaching in 1995 and, along the way, was able to perform for Repertory Philippines and Tanghalang Pilipino under the medium of musical theater, only to cease and concentrate on her other businesses: CHILD Preschool, The Roxy Events Place and PartyPartyParty. She is a co-founder of TLAP and has taught kids ages two to five. She does TV commercials, speaks at seminars, hosts events and face paints. She is an award-winning Dancesport Competitor and is also an AFAA Certified Instructor for Group Exercise, licensed in Zumba® Fitness, Zumba® Sentao, Zumba® Gold, Zumba® Kids + Kids Jr., Aqua Zumba® and Zumba® Toning. She has recently acquired a new dance fitness license for Bounce DanceFit®. She is also a consultant for KLIKME.ME, an alternative learning system that was launched this 2015 and has a Masters Certification in Neuro Linguistic Programing (NLP).
TEACHER TETET DY-TANJUATCO
In 1994, Tetet graduated with a degree in advertising under AB Mass Communications from Assumption College. She also took a few units in Business English at the United Travel Studies Center in Oxford, U.K. She spent the next years teaching in different preschools and participated in CISV as an adult delegate. She earned some units at the University of the Philippines for a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education. She managed a tutorial center with Teacher Melissa before co-founding CHILD Preschool. Tetet was a delegate to the 2004 Annual Conference of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) in Anaheim, California, USA. Tetet is a mother of twin boys and coordinates intensive training seminars for thousands of Day Care Workers in connection with local government units.
TEACHER CHERIE CU-UNJIENG CO
Studied AB Psychology at the Ateneo de Manila University for three years but graduated with the same degree from the University of South Florida in 1994. She spent the next two years at The Ateneo Grade School teaching third graders. Her third year of teaching was spent handling four and five year olds at a private preschool. Cherie earned her master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Boston College, Massachusetts in 1999 where she had the opportunity to work at different private and public schools in preparation for her and three other partners’ first major project: CHILD Preschool. Cherie is the proud mother of three beautiful girls. She has also launched a progressive center for Grades 1 through 10 in Alabang, called The Sycamore.
TEACHER MARICEL SANTOS
Graduated from Perpetual Help College of Manila in 2000 with a degree in BS Occupational Therapy. If not for the needed internship, she would have completed her Certificate in Teaching Program at Philippine Normal University. She made up for this by working in a private preschool in 2000 where she taught for four years. She later joined TLAP in 2004 to master her craft as a teacher for the Toddler Level. She acquired her Professional Teacher License from the Professional Regulation Commission in 2008. She contiues to tutor after school hours. Maricel is a proud mother of a college graduate.
TEACHER RINA MONTEMAYOR
Studied AB-Production Design at De La Salle University College of Saint Benilde and graduated in 2001. Worked as a Production Designer for a year and finally decided to pursue a career as a teacher. She underwent two years of training at a private preschool as Head Teacher for the Nursery and Kindergarten levels. She also taught Play, Music and Arts at Gymboree, Rockwell. Rina joined TLAP in 2005 and still is living her dream of being a fantastic preschool teacher and tutor. She is a mom of two lovely daughters, Kyla and Ariana.
